What is a CSCS White Card?
The CSCS White Card, officially known as the Academically or Professionally Qualified Person (AQP/PQP) Card, is a certification that demonstrates your qualifications and commitment to safety within the construction sector. Unlike other CSCS cards that might be specific to certain trades or skill levels, the White Card is tailored for individuals who have academic or professional qualifications related to construction.
Academically Qualified Person (AQP)
This Academically Qualified Person card is for individuals who have completed a construction-related academic qualification.
Professionally Qualified Person (PQP)
This Professionally Qualified Person card is for individuals who are members of a recognized professional body within the construction industry.
Required Documentation
- Proof of academic qualifications or professional memberships
- Evidence of passing the CSCS Health, Safety & Environment Test
- Personal identification ( passport, driver’s license)
Card Validity Period
The CSCS White Card is typically valid for five years. After this period, it needs to be renewed to ensure the holder remains up-to-date with current standards.
Renewal Process
The renewal process involves re-taking the Health, Safety & Environment Test and providing evidence of continued professional development or further qualifications obtained during the validity period.
